My Bellavia brings us this week's prompt, thirst. Thanks, Janice, for this, and thanks for the image and poem:
there's no moon, no stars
clouds invade such sultry nights
prayer is a light
crickets sing softly
metronomes of time are heard
street lights glow in heat
parched lives stare upward
flickered dreams do fade
somewhere it's raining

I enjoyed your poem.
ReplyDeleteIt slowed my pace and made me pause to take it in. The first stanza really touched me. there's no moon, no stars
clouds invade such sultry nights
prayer is a light
Janice, I think Tammie said it best. It must be terrible to live where rain is only a dream.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this nice prompt, I had a little rain in mine as well. Well, a lot of rain.
