The hot, stifling air. A far-reaching, almost eerie silence.
Sky, brilliantly blue; generously dotted with billowy "mashed potato" clouds. Replicas and visions from younger, happier days.
All of these had remained.
Helping to sustain him through the long, lost days. He had known only to well, the many faces of hunger and thirst. The nights, hardest of all to bear.

Great prompt!
Hi,
ReplyDeleteJust so you know - the prompts on the calendar are in different order than the ones on the list. Alas, I looked at the calendar for Sunday and did the wrong prompt. Didn't quite have the spirit to do a second one so I'm skipping again this week.
Better late than never!
ReplyDeleteI made the same mistake with the prompt order mix-up so I already did the Spectacle one and will just wait to catch up to the calendar.
ReplyDeletewhat a familiar feeling!
